Snow is the Animals                                     Who I Am

Bears are hibernating.                    I am the girl who watches life.
Deer are making tracks.                    I am the girl who listens to
                                                   my sister read, who wonders
Cats are prouncing.                        what I will be when I grow up.
Dogs are diging.                                I am the girl who runs
to my mom when she gets out of work.
Foxes are hunting                   I am the girl who hides from my brother,
squirrels that are hopping.                  I am the girl who wishes
                                                          I could be grownup.
Turkeys are gobbling.
Animals in the snow.

We hope you enjoy some of the poetry we have written in the library.

In the Night

I saw a frog in my pond.

It was sleeping. I hear the frogs

croaking in my backyard,

in my pond. I like how the frog

sings a song. I hear the night owls

singing in the trees, hear

the wind whistling.  I am

watching stars under my tree.

I see the tree, see the stars,

and the moon, a cat purring.

In the early morning I wake

up, the birds are chirping

a beautiful sound.

I save a frog from falling off my roof.

I put it in my pond. I wonder if

the stars are angels. Or birds.

Every one is flying away.
